Helicopter Fare Increased By 65 Percent In Vaishno Devi Yatra, Yatra May Begin In Second Week Of June

If everything goes according to plan, then the Yatra of Mata Vaishno Devi can begin in the second week of June. The special thing is that devotees will also get the facility of helicopter service from Katra to Sanjichat during the yatra, battery car from Adkunwari to Bhavan, and passenger car from Bhawan to Bhairo Valley. But devotees will have to pay an increased fare for the helicopter service.

After the completion of the new tender process for the helicopter service, the fare has increased by about 65 percent. Apart from this, devotees can also travel on a horse, Palki. It is believed that initially, only a limited number of local devotees will get the opportunity to travel. Later the journey will be extended after reviewing the situation.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has started all preparations on its behalf, but the final verdict on the decisions will be approved by the Shrine Board Chairman and Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu in the board meeting. There is complete preparation that helicopter service, battery car, and passenger cable car service will also be started as the journey starts, but devotees who avail the helicopter service will have to pay the increased fare.

After three years, companies have got new tenders once again regarding helicopter service. According to the new tender, only Himalayan Heli and Global Vectra companies already serving devotees will continue their services.

The helicopter will have a current booking, three passengers will also be seated.

According to sources, devotees taking advantage of helicopter service, battery car and passenger will also have to take special care of physical distance. In all these services, the number of passengers has been reduced. The helicopter will now have three pilgrims instead of five. Four to five devotees will be seated instead of seven in the battery car and 15 to 20 instead of 40 in the passenger cable car. Initially, helicopter and battery car service will be current booking instead of online.

Currently, work is on to mark the places identified to maintain physical distance from devotees from Katra to the building. According to the sources, the Katra and Sanjichat Helipad have been marked at a distance of six feet for physical distance. Vaishno Devi Bhavan has also been marked from gate number one to gate number three. Along with the cleanliness of the building, paint work is also going on. The work of a sanitizer unit is also going on every three kilometers on the traditional 13 km long route of travel. Along with laborers working as horse, pittu, sedan etc. on the building route, samples of horses are also being tested, so that all necessary preparations can be completed from the beginning of the journey.

According to sources, a trial trial of passenger cable car running between Bhavan and Bhairav Valley has also started.
